Redesign the GSK Global Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) internal Sharepoint TeamSite to fix usability and user experience issues

Responsibilities

Lead effort to assess and reimagine the GSK global EHS SharePoint site. Assess Alerts workflow and process and develop improvements.  Standardize Alert terminology used globally across GSK.  Gather feedback and requirements from stakeholders at GSK locations around the world. Significant design and development of the Sharepoint site with a variety of tools as well as integration with other worldwide GSK safety sites.

Remarks

Lack of Examples due to company proprietary policy. 

Very interesting experience setting up meetings in Asia given the time difference and language barriers.

Chief User Experience designer creating a brand new piece of software from scratch.  Extensive requirements gathering, workflow definition, UI Design.

Remarks

Tablet used way less battery with black background. Used Material.io High Contrast colors for bright sun glare. Lots of outdoor testing!

Liason between Devs and Product Owners.

Our amazing small team had the first version of this application released in 3 months.

It was a lot of fun working at the AKC offices since employee dog's are allowed there.  A break from work usually meant playing ball with a pup.

Remarks

Due to developer costs ultimately the site was not created since Meetup had just come on the scene and provided a platform for the owner at much lower costs (although the logo and some of the graphics I created were used).
